2012 CFDV SOS Habits Challenge

The SOS Habits Challenge is back! In case you didn’t participate in the challenge last fall, SOS stands for Sort Out your Sh*t.

Can improving your habits lead to better body composition and performance in just 6 weeks? Take the 2012 CFDV SOS Habits Challenge and find out!

The SOS Habits Challenge is a 6-week partner challenge where you will be scored based on your compliance to the habits of your choosing. Each person will choose 5 habits from the habits list and rank them in importance from 1 (most important) to 5 (least important). Each week they will add on a new healthy habit in order of importance (most important to least important). The scores, however, are based on how well you and your partner do week-to-week.

But don’t worry, you are allowed to cut loose a little. Each week you will be allotted a strict 2-hour ‘treat window’ to have whatever you want – Habits be damned. See the rules (linked below) for further details.

In Week 1 everyone starts off with the same habit: Eat Real Food. In Week 2, the habit you choose as your top priority will be introduced. All previous habits will carry over throughout the challenge. So, by Week 6 you will have six daily habits.

There will be two divisions to compete in: Newbies (12 months or less of CrossFit) and Veterans (more than 12 months of CrossFit). The top team from each division will be awarded gift cards to Rogue Fitness. Yay Fitness!

There will also be a performance component to the challenge, where teams have the opportunity to earn bonus points in two events: 3RM deadlift and max burpees in 7 minutes. This workout will be performed during Week 1 and again in Week 6. Bonus points will be awarded in Week 6 as follows: You will earn one point for every pound increased in the deadlift, and two points for every rep increased in the burpees.
